Staff Email Addresses with Old Format Going Away at the End of December
Just a reminder that, at the end of December, all staff email addresses that were set up under the old format will go away at the end of December.  If you are new to the district as of June 30, 2018, you should have nothing to worry about.  Anyone who had an old email address using the first 6 characters of your last name and your first name initial (e.g. kohls@canoncityschools.org, or welchlc@canoncityschools.org, or hartmaa@canoncityschool.org), those address will be removed from the system.

If you are using your new email address (firstname.lastname@canoncityschools.org) then you should be fine.  If not, be sure to notify your contacts before the end of December to let them know that your old email address will no longer be valid and they will need to send email to your updated address (e.g. shaun.kohl@canoncityschools.orgchase.welchlen@canoncityschools.orgadam.hartman@canoncityschools.org, etc.)

Also, realize that they can also send email to the improved shorter email address of firstname.lastname@ccsre1.org as well (e.g. shaun.kohl@ccsre1.org, etc.).  Using the @canoncityschools.org or @ccsre1.org are interchangeable and email will come to the same inbox regardless.  I find the shorter version easier to give to folks instead of the really long one.
