IT Periodic-ally - Issue 6 - October 19, 2018
This week's Tech Tips:

- Turn on the NEW Beta Students App in Instruction (click here to see how to turn on inside Campus Instruction

- What information does Apple have on you? https://www.cnet.com/how-to/find-out-what-data-apple-has-on-you/

- Avery Mail Merge Extension for Chromebooks - Create a maill merge between a Google Doc and a Google Sheet. FREE

- Tech tip from Mark Lyons at McKinley - Some of you have asked if there is a way for students to use voice to text with their Chromebooks.  Yes, there are two easy ways.  I've included a short tutorial on how to use these built-in tools.  All Chromebook have a built-in microphone.  NOTE- I would recommend that only students who have official accommodations use these features.  For other students, it is like using a calculator on a math test. Too easy.

- Turn on the NEW Beta Students App in Instruction (click here to see how to turn on inside Campus Instruction
The Students app allows teachers to efficiently view and modify data for specific students within their classes. Students can be easily searched for and once selected, all tools within the app are specific to that student's records.
